A preparatory meeting on SM Sultan Boat race was held at the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner (DC) in Narail on Wednesday.
Chaired by DC Muhammad Asfaqul Haque Chawdhury, the meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC-General) Shashoti Shil, ADC (Rev) Md.Jubaer Hossen Chawdhury, Additional Police Super (Sadar Circle) Dolon Miah, Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer Sharmin Akter, assistant commissioner (AC-Land) of Narail Sadar Selim Ahmed, Nezarot Deputy Collector (NDC) Asif Uddin Miah, Ansar-VDP district commandant Bikas Chandra Das, President of Narail Chamber of Commerce Mohammad Hasanuzzaman, veteran freedom fighter Saifur Rahman Hilu, Advocate Nazrul Islam, President of Narail Press Club Advocate Alomgir Siddique, its former vice president Sultan Mahmood.
It has been decided in the meeting that the SM Sultan Boat Race will be held in the Chitra River on 14 October next at 12:00 noon.
It has also been decided that the district administration and Narail Police will take all necessary measures at Boat race area on Chitra River in this regard. Law enforcement agencies will ensure a smooth entry and exit for visitors to maintain the security of the areas.
