However, our son-in-law was not with Shuvra Mukherjee at that time. Later, on March 5 in 2013, Didi came here with Pranab Mukherjee. Following our Hindu religious rituals, we accepted my son-in-law that day. Although there was official protocol with the son-in-law that day he entered his father-in-law's house as a normal person.

On that day, our family members greeted the son-in-law Pranab Mukherjee by playing conch, lighting lamps and making uludhvani. The son-in-law was entertained as much as possible. He was impressed by our hospitality. The son-in-law’s that day is just a memory today. In his (Pranab Mukherjee) death, I truly lost a guardian.”
