Dhallywood actress Pori Moni has surprised many with her decision to not perform her Eid-ul-Adha sacrifice at the Film Development Corporation (FDC) this year. For the past six years, Pori Moni has made it a tradition to sacrifice cows at the FDC and share the meat with her colleagues in the film industry. This gesture earned her much praise and admiration.

In 2021, despite a ban on sacrifices inside the FDC, Pori Moni sacrificed six cows just outside the premises. This year, however, she has decided to refrain from the practice at the FDC due to an unpleasant experience she had last year.

"I want to sacrifice again," Pori Moni said. "All my past sacrifices were done with joy and celebration. But last time, I had a bad experience, so I have decided not to offer sacrifices at the FDC this year."

She expressed her love for the FDC, calling it her family, and mentioned she would participate in the sacrifice if it could be done together in a joyful atmosphere. "I want to make sacrifices with my family," she added.

After her maternity leave, Pori Moni is back in the showbiz industry and taking on new projects. She is currently starring in a web series based on Kingkor Ahsan's novel "Rongila Kitab," directed by Anam Biswas, where she plays the female lead.

As Eid-ul-Adha approaches, many at the FDC are curious about her plans. While Pori Moni's absence from this year's sacrifice at the FDC is notable, her commitment to the tradition and her colleagues over the years has left a lasting impression on the Dhallywood community.
