After taking a break to become a mother, popular actress Pori Moni is set to return to the screen with the web series ‘Rongila Kitab’, directed by Anam Biswas. In this series, Pori will portray Shupti, the wife of a gangster. Speaking about her role, Pori said, “I have given my best to bring Shupti to life, and I believe the audience will connect with her."
Pori shared a special experience during the filming of ‘Rongila Kitab’. Due to her becoming a mother, she couldn't finish the work on time. However, the director and the production team patiently waited for her for a whole year. "This is a great blessing in my acting career. I am truly grateful to them," she expressed.
Anam Biswas, the director, was determined that only Pori Moni could play the role of Shupti. So, the entire team waited for her return. "For an artiste, this is a big achievement. I will always cherish this memory,” Pori said.
Last year, the team filmed in the hill tracks, but Pori mentioned that the story is not about the hill area. She also shared an amusing detail about the director. He didn’t give feedback after each shot but waited until the end of the day to share his suggestions.
Pori Moni is excited about her return as fans have been eagerly asking her, “When are you coming back?” She also noted that people are now more focused on her acting and appreciate her as a mother, which she finds heartwarming.
