Pori Moni, one of the leading actresses of Dhaka movies, has been named in the list of 100 most popular digital stars of Asia. The glamorous actress is ranked 70th in the survey titled 'Asia's 100 Digital Stars' conducted by the influential American business magazine Forbes.
It was published in the online version of the magazine last Monday (December 7). In that list of the magazine, it has been written about Pori Moni, she has about 10 million followers on Facebook.
Her real name is Shamsunnahar Smriti. She won the Best Actress (Critic) Award at the 2019 CJFB Performance Awards for her performance in the movie 'Amar Prem Amar Priya'. Pori is currently working on several films including a film on the liberation war of Bangladesh.
At the top of the list is the South Korean band Blackpink. Next in line is Chinese singer and actor Jackson Yer. Third place goes to Thai actress Davika Horne and fourth place to Amitabh Bachchan.
The list includes Bollywood stars Akshay Kumar, Shah Rukh Khan, Ranbir Singh, Katrina Kaif, Anushka Sharma, Shreya Ghoshal, Shahid Kapoor, Ranbir Singh, Ritwik Roshan, Madhuri and several others. The list also includes Pakistani actress Mahira Khan and singer Atif Aslam.
Meanwhile, Pori Moni is now busy promoting the awaited release of her film 'Biswasundari'. The movie directed by Chayanika Chowdhury will be released in 11 theatres tomorrow, December 11.
Besides, she is busy shooting for the historical film 'Pritilata'. Most recently, she has signed on for Toukir Ahmed's new film.
