Dhaka University of Engineering and Technology (DUET) has announced a ban on all political activities on campus. This decision was made during a coordination meeting on Tuesday and will take effect pending approval from the university's syndicate.
The ban applies to all student political organisations and their activities. A group comprising the Dean, Department Head, Director, Hall Provost, Controller of Examinations, and other important university officials made the decision.
According to a memo from Additional Registrar Mofizur Rahman, any student found to be in violation of this ban will be subject to disciplinary action at the university. The goal of the measure is to guarantee that DUET's academic programmes run smoothly.
