IGP inaugurates new building of Kotchandpur PS, barrack

Inspector General of Police (IGP) Dr Mohammad Javed Partwari said all the police stations would be remodeled in phases to ensure better services for the people curbing terrorism and other crimes. The police has been working to implement the commitment of the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina targeting Mujib Year. 

The IGP was talking to the journalists during the inaugural session of the new building for Kotchandpur police station and a barrack for the policemen on Monday. 

Dr Javed Partwari said that the continuous development activities would help the accommodation problems of police officials and employees. Now the police has been trying to become the real friends to the people. Cyber crime has become a great problem in the world. They have formed cell in all the districts in the meantime to stop the crime anyway.

Jhenidah-1 MP and president of Jhenidah district Awami League Abdul Hyee, Jhenidah-3 MP Advocate Shafiqul Azam Kahn Chanchal, Jhenidah-4 MP Anwarul Azim Anar, deputy inspector general of police (DIG) in Khulna range D. Khondakar Mahid Uddin, superintendent of police in Jhenidah Hasanuzzaman and a number of officials remain present during the inaugural session.

Later the IGP handed over the key of the newly constructed building and police barrack to the officer in charge of Kotchandpur model police station Mahbubul Alam. The construction work of the modern facility enriched building was completed at a cost of Taka 6.4 crore. The IGP also transplanted saplings of cocoanut at police station premises.
