Two teenagers return to their parents on Sunday after they were rescued by police from Barobazer railway station in Jheniadah’s Kaliganj a day ago.
The teen duo was Fahim Hossain, 11, son of Ibrahim Hossain of Digholia in Khulna and Jisan, 13, son of Mahbur Rahman of village Khopati in Kaunia upazila of Rangpur.
Officer-In-Charge (OC) of Kaliganj Police Station Mahfuzur Rahman said a man from Barobazer called the police informing that two unidentified children were roaming around at the railway station.
Later Sub Inspector Syed Ali went to the spot and brought the children at the police station.
After feeding the hungry two, they had given detail about their family. Police then contacted the family members over cell phone and asked them to come the police station to receive their children.
The family members accordingly rushed at Kaliganj Police Station and took their children at their laps.
Fahim’s mother Khadiza Begum at about 9pm at Kaliganj police station on Sunday with tears informed the media activists that she could not express her reaction over getting her son back.
She prayed for the wellbeing of the police men for their great humanitarian job.
