Superintendent of Police (SP) in Jhenidah Muntasirul Islam has said that police is always deployed for the safety and security of the people and most closest friend among the security service providers throughout the world. They stay in the society and work for the people.
To ensure more quality and effective service for the people, police started inaugurating help desk at the police stations and other service providing points.
He spoke at Jhenaidah police station on Tuesday morning while he was inaugurating the help desk at Sadar police staion.
The police super said the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina initiated inauguration of the help desk for better and quality services for the women, children, elderly people and the people with disabailitaies (PWDs) marking the birth centennial of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman so that they could be ensured services without any hasstle round the clock. To this end the inspectoir general of the police had advised the forces to stand by the people.
Jhenaaidah Sadar police station OC Mijanur Rahman, OC (operation) Abul Khayer Sheikh, Jhenaidah press club president M Raihan, human rights activist Aminur Rahman Tuku, BRAC personnel Rokeya Khatun, Srizony Foundation representative Parvin Nahar and Welfare Efforts (WE) director Sarifa Khatun among others were present at the time.
