‘People need not visit to the door of Police rather Police were visiting the people's doorstep' in Cox's Bazaar’.
As a special step to render service to the doorsteps of the people, police in Cox's Bazaar have set an example by opening 'police booths' in the busy points of the town including at the Court Bazaar in Ukhia.
Abul Monsur, Officer-in-Charge of Ukhia Police station informed, from the police booths, on duty police members could discuss various social problems with the local people including the extremism, drug addiction and Eve's teasing. Many problems of the local people are also resolved on the spot.
Abul Monsur himself attends a boot at Court Bazaar named' Your OC is at your doorstep'. People of the areas were happy with such a step of police.
OC Abul Monsur further said, common people are often reluctant to visit the police station and some of them are allegedly harassed at the police station that is why such an exceptional initiative has been taken. He further said, such services of police would soon be inaugurated at the Upazila busy spots as soon as possible.
