Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina unveiled a commemorative book titled “Bangalir Pitar Nam Sheikh Mujibur” on the occasion of the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on Tuesday.
She unveiled the book, published by Bangladesh Agricultural Economists Association (BAEA), at her official Ganabhaban residence here.

BAEA President and Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) former Senior Secretary Sajjadul Hasan, BAEA former President and State Minister for Planning Dr Shamsul Alam and its Secretary-General Professor Dr Mohammad Mizanul Haque Kajal were present on the occasion.
The book also contains a write-up titled ‘Gramin Arthonoitik Abostha Niye Kisu Kotha’ by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
Write-ups of former Finance Minister AMA Muhith, writer, journalist and columnist Abdul Gaffar Chowdhury, Prime Minister’s former Political Affairs Adviser late HT Imam, Bangladesh Bank former Governor Dr Mohammad Farasuddin, Bangla Academy former President late Shamsuzzaman Khan, writer Selina Hossain, cultural personality Ramendu Majumder, writer and critic Prof Syed Manzoorul Islam, Bangladesh Bank former governor Dr Atiur Rahman, cultural activist Nasir Uddin Yusuf, former ambassador Mohammad Jamir, Lieutenant Colonel (Retd) Kazi Sajjad Ali Zahir Bir Pratik, MA Sattar Mondol, BAEA President Sajjadul Hasan, poets Nirmalendu Goon, Mahadev Saha, and late Habibullah Siraji and Kamal Chowdhury and some other eminent writers and poets were included in the book.
President M Abdul Hamid, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, and Agriculture Minister Dr Md Abdur Razzaque gave messages in the commemorative book. -BSS
