The government is offering medical assistance to injured students, with grants ranging from Tk 10,000 to Tk 50,000. The Prime Minister's Education Assistance Trust is inviting applications for financial aid from students who have been seriously injured in accidents. Applications for the May-June term of the 2023-24 financial year are now open.

Students from classes six to graduation or equivalent levels can apply online for this grant. This information was announced in a circular by the Prime Minister's Educational Assistance Trust and published by the Department of Secondary and Higher Education of the Ministry of Education.

The medical grant aims to support poor, meritorious students who are seriously injured.

To apply for the grant, students need to go online and access the e-Medical Grant Management System.

Applicants must provide several documents. These include a medical certificate confirming the serious injury, issued by a civil surgeon at the district level, a doctor from a government hospital, or an upazila health and family planning officer. Additionally, students need to upload the necessary treatment reports and a certificate from their educational institution in the prescribed form.

The deadline to submit applications for this term is June 24, 11:59 pm. Students are encouraged to apply as soon as possible to benefit from this assistance.

For more information, students should visit the official website and follow the e-Medical grant usage guidelines.

This financial help can significantly support students in their recovery and continuation of their studies.
