Bangladesh women cricket team and visiting Australia team will meet with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at Ganabhaban (PM’s official residence) at 1 p.m. today, this was disclosed by head of the women cricket wing Habibul Bashar Sumon on Tuesday.
Sumon said, “Cricketers of the two teams will meet P.M at the Ganabhaban. Chairman of women cricket wing Shafiul Alam Chowdhury Nadel will also present at the meeting.”
“Basically, it would be a courtesy call. A total of 15 women cricketers and the chairman of the BCB Women wings will also present at the meeting,” said Sumon.
Australia women cricket team is as strong as their men’s team. The women cricket team became champion’s seven-time in ODI and six-time in T-20. The champions came to Bangladesh for the first time to play bilateral series against hosts.
Australia whitewashed Bangladesh in the ODI series and also defeat two outings to confirm the T20 series. Bangladesh will take on Australia on the third and final T-20 match at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium at 12 p.m. tomorrow.
