Parvin Zaman Kalpana, ruling Awami League (AL) central committee member, also a permanent resident of Jhenaidah had exchanged views with the leaders and activists of Jatiya Mahila Sangshtha (JMS) at Jhenaidah on Sunday noon. A short discussion meeting was arranged following visit of the AL central committee member at JMS Jhenaidah office auditorium.
Presided over by JMS Jhenaidah district unit chairman Dipti Rahman, Kalpana was speaking as chief guest. AL district unit general secretary, also ex mayor of Jhenaidah municipality Saidul Karim Mintu, joint general secretary Masud Ahmed Sanzu, Sramik League joint convener Azizul Islam attended as special guests. Members of the organization and media activists remain present during the discussion. JMS district officer Habibur Rahman facilitated the event.
In her speech Parvin Zaman Kalpana said the government of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has been working reluctant less for the wellbeing of the countrymen, especially, for the women community.
Now the women both in rural and urban area are not anymore hostages to the male as per their constitutional rights. They should go ahead with the assistances and other facilities of the government for a equal rights based society, Parvin Zaman Kalpana said.
