A two-day pitha (pie) fair was held at Chatmohar in Pabna. This pitha fair ended on Friday. Organized by Paramount International School, the fair started on Thursday afternoon at Shaheed Minar of Chatmohar Upazila Parishad.
Chatmohar Municipality Mayor Advocate Sakhawat Hossain Sakho, Upazila Parishad Chairman Alhaj Abdul Hamid Master, Upazila Executive Officer Mumtaz Mahal, Assistant Commissioner (Land) Tanzina Khatun, Female Vice Chairman Lecturer Feroza Parveen, Former Municipal Mayor Mirza Rezaul Karim Dulal, Upazila Secondary Education Official Maghreb Ali, UP Chairman Azahar Ali, Shah Alam and others were present as guests. Students and teachers of the school and people from different professions were present.
On the occasion of this pitha fair, young entrepreneurs display and sell pithas of different names and flavors. People of different ages come to the fair to see and eat different types of pitha puli. Interesting cultural programs were held around the Pitha Mela.
The fair and cultural program held under the chairmanship of school president Advocate Abdur Rauf was conducted by YouTubers Siddique Milan and Sanchita Kundu.
Regarding Pitha Mela, Paramount International School headmaster Sharmin Jahan Sheela said that today's youth are not familiar with many traditional pithas. This fair is organized to introduce them to different types of pithas. This is the first time we are organizing such a fair.
