Press Institute of Bangladesh (PIB) exchanged views on 'Journalism on the backdrop of Corona situation' with the working journalists of Rajshahi division at the Conference Room of Deputy Commissioner of Rajshahi on Friday afternoon.
Presided over by Saidur Rahman, President of Rajshahi Press Club, the function was attended and addressed, among others, by renowned, Ekushey Padak winner journalist, poet Zafar Wazed as the chief guest and the President of Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists Mollah Jalal, former RUJ President Mustafizur Rahman Khan, Akbarul Hasan Millat, President of Cty Press Club Mohammad Zulfiqur, General Secretary of Chapainwabganj Press Club Shahidul Huda Alok, General Secretary of Rajshahi Television Journalists' Association Mehedi Hasan Shyamol, Badrul Hasan Liton, Kazi Gias, Monjuraa Khatun, Shasmun Naher Mina, Rashed Ibne Obaed and Nazrul Islam. Aslam Ud-dowla, General Secretary of Rajshahi conducted the function.
While, in the morning, cheques of financial support from the Prime Minister to the journalists of Rajshahi division during the Corona Pandemic was disbursed among 75 journalists of Rajshahi, 20 journalists of Natore, 20 journalists of Naogaon and 20 journalists of Chapainawabganj district.
Presided over by Abdul Jalil, Deputy Commissioner of Rajshahi, the check disbursement function was, attended by Mayor of Rajshahi City Corporation AHM Khairuzzaman Liton as the chief guest.
