Photo exhibition on Rohingya issues starts in Cox’s Bazar

14-day photo exhibition on Rohingya issue has started in Cox's Bazar. This photo exhibition was jointly organized by United Nations Refugee Agency UNHCR and Cox's Bazar Art Club at Cox's Bazar Cultural Center Auditorium on Thursday afternoon. The theme of the photo exhibition is “We Rohingya”. 10 talented Rohingya photographers from the refugee camp located in Cox's Bazar presented their collective work and skills through this exhibition.

The exhibition revolves around the self-identity of the Rohingyas, showing scenes from the daily life of a refugee community. The joint event pays tribute to the Rohingya people's resilience, resilience and resilience by combining the memories of Rohingya refugees, their hope, faith, beauty, struggle, anger, pain and love. 

Cox's Bazar Refugee Relief and Repatriation Commissioner Additional Secretary Shah Rezwan Hayat inaugurated the exhibition. The special guest was Johannes von der Kl, Bangladesh Country Representative of UNHCR. President of Cox's Bazar Art Club Tanveer Sarwar Rana Suchna spoke at the opening ceremony.

The exhibition is curated by international artist David Palazon, Rohingya photographer Sahat Zia Hero, and Amena Khatun, curator emeritus of the Bangladesh Liberation War Museum. 

The exhibition features 50 photographs taken by Rohingya photographers, and 10 photographs of Bangladeshis displaced during the 1971 Bangladesh War of Independence.
