This was stated by SM Kamal Hossain, Organizing Secretary of Awami League Central Committee and Coordinator of Pabna-4 (Ishwardi-Atgharia) constituency by-elections, while exchanging views with journalists at Ishwardi Press Club auditorium in Pabna on Monday.
He has been staying in Ishwardi for the last one week and has been holding meetings and exchanging views with the local leaders in order to win the by-election of the Awami League candidate and increase the organizational strength of the party.
In the exchange of views, SM Kamal Hossain spoke on various issues of the party and the government. He later answered various questions from reporters. Acting president and chairman of Awami League Pabna district committee Rezaul Rahim Lal, general secretary and MP of Pabna Sadar constituency Golam Faruk Prince, general secretary of Pabna Sadar upazila Awami League and upazila chairman Mosharraf Hossain were present at the time. SM Kamal Hossain said Bangladesh is a role model of development to the world today. The country is oriented towards development with the foresight of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. "People did not make a mistake by voting for the Awami League, they were not deceived," he said. People are suffering less. Bangladesh is now known in the world as an independent sovereign state.
Regarding the by-election, he said, "We will have the wish that the Pabna-4 by-election will be neutral and fair." We want to see a system where voters can come to the polls and exercise their voting right without any hesitation.
