People celebrate Hasina’s resignation in Panchagarh

Students and mass people in Panchagarh held celebration on Monday afternoon after Sheikh Hasina resigned as Prime Minister and fled the country. People from all walks of life joined the cheerful celebration.

Waving national flag and holding sticks in hand, many people came out and joined the joyous procession. Many people riding motorcycles and carrying national flag joined the procession. Many people were seen celebrating the moment sharing sweets with each other. 

Students of Zila Sadar and other Upazilas of the district, leaders and activists of BNP, Jamaat-e-Islam, JAGPA and Islami Andolon started celebration after the news of resignation of Sheikh Hasina.

Many agitated people vandalized the houses of Awami League leaders, including two houses of Mohd. Naimuzzaman Bhuiyan MP. Moreover, the house of Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) of Tetulia came under attack and the car of Assistant Commissioner (Land) was torched.

Meanwhile, the students brought out processions from different areas since the morning and gathered in front of central Shaheed Minar. They were chanting slogans and stayed on Panchagarh-Dhaka highway to meet their one-point demand. Besides, the students bloackaded the highways in Tetulia, Atowari, Boda and Debiganj, demanding the justice of the attack on them. Leaders and activists of several political parties, guardians and people of different professions joined with them.
