‘Penny for Many,’ a non-profit organization, has taken a step towards alleviating the woes of cold hit destitute and orphan children in Panchagarh and Nilphamari.
The non-profit organization has recently distributed 450 blankets and warm clothes to helpless, destitute and orphan children in West Mithapukur, Jagdal, Laltuganj, Bengutari Bazar, Bhajanpur, Mirgarh in Panchagarh.
Earlier, the organization distributed about 250 blankets in Dimla of Nilphamari in late December.
‘Penny for Many’ founder and president Zisan Rehman and other members of the organization conducted these programmes.
He said, “Being close to the Himalayas, it is difficult from distance to feel the severity of winter here. The country’s lowest temperature was recorded in the region where life was crippled. This is a part of our efforts to stand by the helpless, distressed and the orphan children.”
Since 2019, ‘Penny for Many’ has been working to reduce miseries of the destitute and orphans and empower them and the organisation is optimistic to continue their social work.
