Central Secretary General of Jamaat-e-Islami Bangladesh Prof Mia Golam Parwar has urged the government officials to work as per the law saying “their party is ready to extend all-out cooperation to the administration.”
He has also assured that Jamaat will remain beside people and extend cooperation for ensuring safety and security of lives and properties of people, especially those who are belonging to other religious community in the country.
Prof Parwar made the remarks while exchanging views with the Khulna Divisional Commissioner Md Helal Mahmud Sharif and other government officials at Khulna circuit house conference room on Wednesday evening.
Central Working Committee Member of Jamaat-e-Islami Bangladesh and Assistant Director of Khulna Zone Mowlana Abul Kalam Azad, Khulna Metropolitan Police Commissioner Md Mozammel Haque, Khulna Range DIG Moinul Haque, Khulna Deputy Commissioner Khondokar Yasir Arefin and Superintendent of Police Mohammad Sayedur Rahman were present, among others.
During the view exchange meeting, Divisional Commissioner Helal Mahmud said that they want to see a discrimination free beautiful Bangladesh where equal rights of people will be ensured.
The government officials can’t show hostility and discriminatory behavior with anyone as they (govt officials) are the servant of the Republic, he said adding that they should try to provide the highest service to the people.
Police officials including KMP Commissioner Md Mozammel Haque and Khulna range DIG Moinul Haque have said police force will be able to provide equal services if they get cooperation from political parties.
“Our children teaches us good lesson for building discrimination-free society,” they said adding police will provide equal services to the people.
Earlier, they sought peace for the departed souls of all martyrs, who laid their lives during the recent Anti-Discrimination Movement across the country.
