Partho Sheikh once dreamed of playing for the Bangladesh national cricket team. However, in 2015, a severe spinal cord injury shattered that dream. After spending 25 days in the hospital, Partho realized he could never return to cricket. His promising career, which began in 2011 at the Udayan Cricket Academy and saw him playing for the Dhaka Metro under-16 and under-19 teams, came to an abrupt end.
Despite this setback, Partho refused to let his injury define him. "The biggest dream of my life has been broken," he admitted, but he soon found a new passion: acting. In 2017, two years after his cricket career ended, Partho entered the world of modeling. His first big break came with an advertisement directed by Amitabh Raza, followed by a notable appearance in the music video for the band Shunya's song "Jadaa Dao."
Although he received several offers to act in TV dramas, Partho wanted to hone his craft. He took an oriental drama acting course in 2020, which marked the beginning of his regular acting career. In a short time, Partho has earned
praise for his performances in productions like "Jail," "Unseen," "Premkavya," and "Meghphool."
Partho recently made headlines by playing a cricketer in the series "Charki Baaji," directed by Arifur Rahman. His real-life cricket experience helped him bring authenticity to the role, earning positive feedback from viewers.
Today, Partho is recognized as an emerging talent in TV dramas and on OTT platforms. "I have fallen in love with acting," he says. "I want to do good work and continue growing in this field."
Born in Munshiganj and raised in Dhaka, Partho studied media studies and journalism at a private university. He now works at an agency while pursuing his acting career. His journey from a young cricketer to a rising actor is a testament to his resilience and determination to follow new dreams after facing setbacks.
