Bangladesh Parjatan Corporation's ‘Padma Bridge Tour’ package tour was launched on Friday. The package tour was inaugurated by the Civil Aviation and Tourism state minister Md. Mahbub Ali in a function organized at the Tourism Building.
Civil Aviation and Tourism Ministry Secretary Md. Mokammel Hossain, Bangladesh Tourism Corporation Chairman Md. Ali Kadar, Bangladesh Tourism Board Acting Chief Executive Officer Abu Tahir Md. Jaber and various stakeholders related to tourism were also present.
In the opening ceremony, Minister of State for Civil Aviation and Tourism Md. Mahbub Ali said that the construction of Padma Bridge has opened the door for the development of tourism in South Bengal. Domestic and foreign tourists are now able to visit Kuakata Beach, Sundarbans and other southern tourist centers in a short time. Various tourism facilities will be created on both sides of Padma Bridge through Bangladesh Tourism Corporation. He also said that Padma Bridge is part of our history. This bridge has made the Bengali nation a special place of pride and dignity in the world. As a result of the construction of this bridge under the strong leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the economy of the entire country including South Bengal will be speedy and prosperity.
It is to be noted that the package tour titled ‘Dream Padma Bridge Tour’ organized by Bangladesh Tourism Corporation will be conducted regularly every Friday and Saturday.
