Actor Parambrata Chattopadhyay has taken a leading role in the new Bangladeshi film 'Ajob Karkhana ', which premiered in five theaters nationwide yesterday. Produced by Shabnam Ferdousi with government funding, the film marks a significant debut during the festival season.
Parambrata, known for his role as rock-star Rajeev in 'Ajob Karkhana', shared his experience with the film, shot between 2019 and 2020. He praised the discovery of Bangladeshi folk music during production as a special highlight.
'Ajob Karkhana’ follows Rajib's journey, where he seeks new meaning in life after meeting Baul artists from rural Bengal. The film explores diverse styles and lyrics of contemporary Bengali music, celebrating cultural diversity and artistic
expression.
During the film's release, Parambrata and the 'Ajob Karkhana’ team celebrated the occasion with special exhibitions. Earlier, Parambrata visited Dhaka to promote the film, acknowledging delays due to festival commitments. The premiere of 'Strange Factory' has garnered attention for Parambrata's performance and the film's cultural depth, making it a notable addition to Bangladeshi cinema.
