There were sporadic explosions and gunshots at Hoikung and Hnila areas in Teknaf boarder of Cox's Bazar from Saturday night until Sunday morning.

Around 10,000 Bangladeshi citizens who are living close to the border are terrified due to the the terrible sound of mortar bombs coming from Myanmar since the morning.
The civil war in Myanmer has already claimed two lives of Bangladeshi civilians.
The locals claim that they did not hear any gunshots since Sunday around 10:00 a.m.
According to locals, Bolibazar and Nagakura neighborhood in Myanmar are very near the Hnila border of Cox’s Bazar.
Arakan Army, a rebel organization, now controls both of these places. The security forces in Myanmar are going all out to retake the areas from the revel fighters.
The junta soldiers are bombarding from aircraft. From the opposite side, black smoke came out from the fire. The different boundaries of the Hnila and Hoikung Unions in Teknaf have been badly impacted by the ongoing violence that has been going on for the past few days.
Many people are heavily terrified to go to work due to the conflicts.
According to Hnila UP Chairman Rashed Mahmud Ali, few shootings were heard in several Hnila Union borders after Saturday night. But after midnight, there were several loud explosions and the sound of gunfire.
At least 40–50 powerful explosions could be heard on Sunday morning.
He claimed that people who live near the border are feeling insecure.
The local UP chairman also told that, black smoke were rising from the fire in the conflict-affected towns within Myanmar.
Shah Jalal, panel chairman of the Huaikang Union Parishad (UP) told that the deafening sound of mortar rounds was sending vibrations across his neighborhood. Frequent vibrations in the night were waking children, and many of them are weeping out of dread.
Two weeks ago, the Arakan Army took control of Totardia, which is located across from the Huaikung Union on the banks of the Naf river.
The government forces are attempting to reclaim it, he described.
Teknaf UNO Adnan Chowdhury said there have been recent reports of mortar and shelling in Rakhine state. But there has not yet been any information of shelling at the Teknaf border.
At the border, the Coast Guard and BGB are on high alert.
Lt. Col. Md. Mohiuddin Ahmed, the commander of local BGB said BGB members have been kept on alert keeping an eye on the Rakhine crisis in Myanmar and stop infiltration.
Since Saturday night, the Bangladesh Coast Guard has also been on high alert.
Lieutenant Tahsin Rahman of the Coast Guard’s Chittagong East Zone said, “We have strengthened patrolling along the Naf River due to the possibility of intrusion from the other side."
