Palak explores technological innovations at IIT Madras Institute

Minister of State for Information and Communication Technology, Zunaid Ahmed Palak, embarked on a visit to the Research Park of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras on Sunday.

During his visit, Minister Palak engaged with Dr. MJ Shankar, CEO of IITM, and Dr. Gaurav Raina from the Department of Electrical Engineering, along with other senior officials of the institution. 

The discussions centered around the burgeoning realm of Internet of Things (IoT) based learning methods. The esteemed individuals conveyed their belief that this innovative approach could revolutionize education for future generations, ushering in a new era of knowledge dissemination.

Minister Palak emphasized that modern technology continues to shape our social and national landscape, consistently introducing new dimensions to our lives. He highlighted how technology, when harnessed effectively, enhances convenience, speed, and safety in our daily experiences.

In continuation of his exploration, the State Minister also visited the Rela Institute of Health Center in Chennai. During this insightful tour, he ventured through various departments of the institute, witnessing first-hand the dynamic revolution that technology is engendering within the realm of medicine. Artificial Intelligence (AI), in particular, stood out as a transformative force in the medical field.

Md Farooq, Vice President of the Rela Institute in Chennai, enlightened Minister Palak about the institute's innovative healthcare technologies. The visit saw participation from key officials of the institution, who discussed advancements in patient management, state-of-the-art medical technology, robotics' role in transplantation, and the utilization of AI in medical sciences. The discussions also broached the potential for knowledge sharing and collaboration between Bangladeshi hospitals and their counterparts in India.

The tour solidified Minister Palak’s understanding of the pioneering developments underway in the fields of technology and medicine, inspiring him to envision a future where Bangladesh actively participates in, and benefits from, the global technological transformation.
