It’s the first time that the Bangladesh pacers blazed with their power in the Test cricket by claiming all 10 wickets to play the significant role in the second innings of the series deciding match whn they bowled out the hosts for 172 runs.
Bangladesh pacers were able to take all 10 wickets to tumble any opponents for the first time in their 144 Test matches, in 24 years Test history.
Lead by the pace spearhead Taskin Ahmed - Hasan Mahmud and Nahid Rana are the two members of the Bangladesh’s pace trio, swept down the Pakistan’s second innings, helping the side to the series victory by 2-0.
Hasan Mahmud was outstanding with registering his maiden five-wicket haul in his just third Test. While the young pacer nipped up 5-43, the young prodigy and the speedster Nahid Rana also celebrated his maiden five-wicket haul after finishing with 4-44 when their leader Taskin Ahmed took the rest of the wicket.
Hasan claimed two wickets on Day 3 to reduced Pakistan for 9-2 and Taskin gave the first breakthrough, taking out Saim Ayub on Day 4.
Youngsters Hasan and Nahid Rana then wreaked havoc on Pakistan batters with the an exciting combination of swing and raw pace that left the hosts hapless at their own soil and Pakistan eventually bundled out for 172, setting Bangladesh just 185-run target to win the game.
In Test cricket, Bangladesh’s fast bowlers took 10 wickets in an innings for the first time in international cricket. But it can be mentioned that Mahmud had claimed his maiden five-wicket haul in ODI cricket when Bangladesh skittled out Ireland for 101 in Sylhet last year, Taskin had taken three wickets in that match while Ebadot Hossain picked up two.

Former South African fast bowling legend Allan Donald, wo was the fast coach of Bangladesh deserves some credits credited for his role in Tigers' pace revolution during his tenure from March 2022 to November 2023.
The 57-year-old, Donals resigned after the ICC World Cup in India but he has immense support of the Tigers and always keeps in touch with his disciples of Bangladesh.
Donald expressed his immense pleasure after seeing his former pupils did fantastic job to pave the way to whitewash Pakistan.
