In the last 24 hours till Saturday, 530 samples were tested in Noakhali and 100 more Covid-19 positive patients were detected. The total number of infected people in the district is 21,412. The rate of new detection is 18.86 percent.
Noakhali District Civil Surgeon Masum Iftekhar confirmed the information on Saturday morning.
According to the Civil Surgeon's Office, 530 samples were tested in the last three labs of the district and 43 coronaviruses were detected in Sadar upazila, 5 in Begumganj, 4 in Sonaimuri, 4 in Senbagh, 43 in Companiganj and 1 in Kabirhat. No patient has recovered in the last 24 hours. A total of 227 patients died in the district. There are 1122 patients in isolation and 10 patients are being treated at Covid Hospital.
