The government is working relentlessly for the country’s nutrition security. As a result of the government’s prudent measures, Bangladesh did well than many countries in combating the food crisis and hunger amid coronavirus pandemic.
Since the pandemic has undermined food and nutrition security for many, its effects will likely ripple into the future. This means special attention and consistent implementation of government’s measures are needed to increase and diversify our food production and to reduce hunger, undernourishment.
Though the country has made extraordinary progress in reducing hunger over the last decade, still a significant portion of our population is trapped in a food crisis and malnutrition.
