Over 25,000 students to receive SSC scholarships

A total of 25,500 students will receive scholarships based on their SSC exam results. The Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE) has announced that 3,000 students will receive merit scholarships, while 22,500 students will receive general scholarships. The scholarships have been distributed board-wise, and the boards of education have been instructed to publish the scholarship gazettes after selecting the students.

The scholarship funds will be transferred directly to the students' bank accounts through GTUP or EFT. The order for the distribution of scholarship quotas has been published on the DSHE website.

For the Dhaka Board, 902 students will receive merit scholarships, and 5,640 students will receive general scholarships. Mymensingh Board will grant merit scholarships to 242 students and general scholarships to 1,708 students. Rajshahi Board will provide merit scholarships to 513 students and general scholarships to 3,072 students. 

In Comilla Board, 222 students will get merit scholarships, while 2,414 students will receive general scholarships. Sylhet Board will award merit scholarships to 100 students and general scholarships to 1,236 students. Barisal Board will give merit scholarships to 112 students and general scholarships to 1,395 students. Jessore Board will offer merit scholarships to 378 students and general scholarships to 2,530 students. Chittagong Board will grant merit scholarships to 119 students and general scholarships to 1,990 students. Finally, Dinajpur Board will provide merit scholarships to 332 students and general scholarships to 2,515 students.

Merit scholarship students will receive 600 taka per month and a one-time annual payment of 900 taka. General scholarship students will receive 350 taka per month and a one-time payment of 450 taka. 

Students who have passed the SSC exam with GPA-5 and are regular students will receive the merit scholarships. General scholarships will be given to students based on the area quota, with two male and two female students from each upazila under the board receiving the awards.
