Narayanganj district administration has distributed food goods among two lakhs and five thousands families in the district including the city corporation area during this corona crisis.
Deputy Commissioner of Narayanganj Mohammad Jasimuddin in a brief on Thursday revealed that to meet the food crisis in this current situation, 2lakh 5 thousand low income people have been provided with 2 thousand 50 metric tons food items and cash money Tk 87 lakh.
According to relief goods distribution statistics, in the city corporation area 49 thousand and 82 families got 490.820 metric tons food goods and cash Tk 20 lakh 42 thousands and 8 hundred . Besides, 40 thousand 728 families of Narayanganj sadar upazila received 407. 280 metric tons food goods and cash Tk 17 lakhs 35 thousand and 20.
Accordingly the relief goods disbursement to Bandar upazila was 131.900 metric tons food goods and cash Tk 5 lakhs 72 thousand among 13 thousand and 190 families. 26 thousand and 150 families in Sonargoan upazila received 261.500 metric tons food goods and cash Tk 11 lakhs and 40 thousand.
41 thousand 8 hundred 50 families got 418.500 metric tons food goods and cash Tk 17 lakhs and 65 thousands while 34 thousand families received 340 metric tons food goods and cash Tk 14 lakhs 45 thousand in Arihazar upazila of the district.
The DC also added that, besides the government allotted 2 thousands 50 metric tons food goods and Tk 87 lakhs they received 48 thousands packets of food items and cash Tk 41 lakh donated by humanitarian citizens. Of which 4 thousands 542 packets of food items have been distributed yet.
