Over 1.58 lakh students, including 79,433 girls, are going to appear in the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinations under the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE), Jashore this year.
According to the board sources, students from 2,551 institutions will take part in the examinations at 292 centres in all 10 districts under the board scheduled to be held on April 30 like other education boards of the country.
A total of 39,437 students will appear in the examinations from science group while 1, 00,765 from humanity and 17,900 from commerce group this year.
Biswas Shaheen Ahmed, controller of Jashore Education Board, said they have already been completed all necessary preparations to hold the examinations successfully. This year's SSC exam will start on April 30 through Bangla first paper, he added.
"The government has asked candidates, law enforcement agencies, exam controllers and local administrations to must follow the 30-point guidelines, issued by the Ministry of Education, during the SSC examinations," he said.
All the coaching centers will remain closed from April 26 to May 23 in 2023, mobile phones and other electronic devices are prohibited in the centers and only center controller can use feature phone, according to the guidelines.
All the candidates must enter the test centers and take their seats at least 30 minutes before the test begin and unauthorised person will not enter into the exam centers, the guidelines added.
