The orderly-cum-guards of various government primary schools of Ulipur upazila in Kurigram formed a human chain on Wednesday, demanding the nationalization of their job with the motto ‘One demand one agenda, nationalization is just demand.’
The human chain was formed on the Upazila Parishad premises at 11:00am on Wednesday. A memorandum was submitted to the Chief Advisor through the Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO). Many orderly-cum-guards of various primary schools of the upazila participated at the hour-long human chain programme.
The programme was moderated by Anwarul Islam where Nayan Sarkar, Ripon Mia, Farukh Hossain, Altaf Hossain and as well as Anwarul Islam himself presented their demands.
The speakers at the programme requested the honorable Chief Advisor of the interim government to kindly transfer the orderly-cum-guard position of the government primary school to the revenue sector and to increase the salary. After the human chain programme, a memorandum was submitted to the Chief Advisor of the interim government and various departments concerned through the Upazila Nirbahi Officer.
