Oracle Corporation, a US-based multinational computer technology company, will launch its operations in Bangladesh by December this year. Oracle Academy is also planning to set up an organization specializing in computer hardware systems and enterprise software products in Bangladesh. Bangladesh will host a national level hackathon in partnership with the ICT department.
Mr Garrett, President of Japan and Asia Pacific Region, expressed interest in a bilateral meeting with State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak at Oracle office in Singapore on Friday.
The company has already invested in 4 tier data centers to set up G-Cloud for e-government applications in Bangladesh.
The Bangladesh delegation included Sami Ahmed, Managing Director, Startup Bangladesh Ltd., Annie Too, Senior Sales Director, Oracle Cloud Platform, and Mr. Arshad, Country Director, Cloud Platform Business, and Oracle officials.
After the meeting, the Minister of State for ICT met with several Bangladeshis working in Oracle. At the same time, the top officials of the management board of the company also expressed their excellent performance in Oracle.
