The police in Jhenaidah has organised open house day to hear peoples’ opinion curbing terrorism, anti-social activities and specially, drug to make the country livable for the common people when the government of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina was leading the country with an iron-hand.
Chaired by officer in charge of Shailkupa police station Jahangir Alam, the programme was arranged at Shailkupa police station ground on Wednesday where superintendent of police (SP) Muntasirul Islam attended as chief guest.
Assistant superintendent of police (ASP) in Shailkupa circle Ariful Islam, Shailkupa municipality mayor Kazi Ashraful Azam, Mirzapur union parishad chairman, also vice president of ruling Awami League district unit Makbul Hossain, ex upazila parishad chairmen professor Abed Ali and Nayeb Ali Joarder, vice chairman Jahidunnabi Kalu, Dhalaharachandra union parishad chairman Matiar Rahman and Saber Hossain Mollah attended as special guests.
A number of peoples’ representatives, teachers, community leaders, community police personnel, political party activists, professionals and media activists participated in the daylong open house day.
The police super said the world has been changing faster with modern service oriented activities where the blood-earned Bangladesh is not looking behind anymore. Rather, it has been moving forward with the timely services of the law enforcers, especially police men.
Now the police men have came to a close contact to the mass people as they are most nearest service providers with an aim to make the country free from drug, militancy, terrorism and other crimes. Only the people might help the police men in discharging their services providing accurate information about the drug vendors and addicts.
Describing the decaying tendency of morality among the young generation, the police super had urged upon the guardians and community leaders to take care of their children so that they could move on right truck ignoring any odd.
He said the inspector general police had ordered to take action against the police personnel if they are involved in any sort of corruption, bribe or such other evil doings. No one is out of law and regulations. The police man also answered a number of questions arises from the people and guests to maintain law and order with zero tolerance.
