For the convenience of fishermen and in the interest of collecting government revenue, Land Minister Saifuzzaman Chowdhury directed to extend the time limit for submitting online application for Jalmahal lease at district and upazila level.
This was stated by the minister while addressing as the chief guest at the coordination meeting of the Ministry of Land and Divisional Commissioners on Land in the conference room of the Ministry of Land at the Secretariat on Sunday. Land Secretary Md Mostafizur Rahman PAA was present at the time.
It may be mentioned that in view of the directive of the Land Minister, the deadline for submission of online application for Jalmahal lease at district and upazila level has been extended up to 30th of the Bengali month of Chaitra.

Apart from this, issues related to making land revenue meeting at divisional level more fruitful, enhancement of holding entry skills, human resource management software, e-leaflet activities, inter-district or upazila boundary disputes, eviction of illegal occupants, land service week 2022 etc. were discussed in the meeting.
At the same time, in the interest of efficient management of land administration, the land minister also directed to take necessary steps to strengthen the use of the app called 'Barta' by all the officers and employees of the land ministry.
It is to be noted that the app for exchanging information of the officers and employees under the Ministry of Land is 'Barta'. The app offers instant voice or text exchanges, interconnection between land ministry offices, and instant central / divisional or district based reports.
The meeting was attended by all the divisional commissioners of the country, their representatives and officials of the land ministry.
