But he is charging only one taka for this film! According to Shuvoo playing Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s character is one of the best role of his acting career. He has many emotions related to this name, so money is not the fact here.

Regarding this content Shuvoo said, ‘as an actor, I felt that to develop a character, you have to catch the nerve of it, whether it is fictional or not. I have heard that Bangabandhu spent 11 years, 4 months and 22 days of his life in jail. Sacrifice is one of the characteristics of Bangabandhu. In his lifetime, he has only sacrificed for the people and the country, mine is nothing compare to Bangabandhu's courage and sacrifice. From that thought I told the director Shyam Benegal, whatever I deserve, I will not take it. But I will be giving all my blood, sweat in this movie, so I will not work for free, I will get paid. So I took a penny.’
Many people including director Shyam Benegal were impressed to hear such a thing, and the whole unit, was affectionately called Shuvoo 'one taka artiste'! The title was given by Shyam Benegal himself.
