A person was caught red-handed trying to steal money from Agrani Bank Ltd. in Kishoreganj Branch in a fancy way pretending to be a customer on Thursday.
The Mercantile Bank Ltd., Kishoreganj Branch Officer Kallol Kumar Sarkar came to deposit Tk 40 lakh in The Agrani Bank Ltd. Kishioreganj Branch. Roman (22), son of late Sala Uddin of Agargaon area of Dhaka, then tried to steal Tk 5 lakh from the money but was spotted by Mercantile Bank officer.
After shouting, the bank security guard arrested Roman. Later he was handed over to Kishoreganj Model Police Station.
A case has been filed with Kishoreganj Model Police Station in this regard.
Kishoreanj Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge Mohammad Doud confirmed the incident.
