Kaushik Pramanik Debu (50) elder brother of Debashish Pramanik Debu, General Secretary of Workers Party in Rajshahi was killed in an attack by miscreants on Thursday morning. Koushik Pramanik was the Manager of Olympic Company in Rajshahi. He was attacked by a group of miscreants headed by an employee of his company.
A driver of the company was also injured in the attack. He has been identified as Rahul, driver of the company. He was admitted to RMCH with multiple injuries. Injured Rahul informed, on Thursday morning an employee named Sajibul of the company at Sagarpara area was beating him when Manager of the company came forward to rescue him which enraged Sajibul.
Afterwards, the Manager along with Sajibul was going through Amjad crossing area when 7 to 8 miscreants headed by Sajibul attacked and beat them fatally and escaped. Local people rescued Manager Koushik and Rahul and sent them to RMCH where the attending doctors declared Koushik dead. SM Masud Parvez, Officer in charge of Motihar thana informed, dead body of Koushik Pramanik has been sent to the morgue of RMCH for autopsy. Police was trying to arrest the miscreants, he added.
