A Dubai returned passenger was arrested along with 274 cartons of contraband foreign cigarettes, 96 mobile sets and four laptops from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Friday. Armed Police Battalion (APBn) personnel arrested Abul Quashem, 39, son of Abdul Quader of Monipur village under Fulgazi upazila in Feni and seized the cigarettes from his possession around 11am from Green Channel area of the airport, additional police super (media) of the APBN Md Alamgir Hossain told BSS this afternoon.
He arrived at the airport early today by a flight (KU-2857) of Air Kuwait. The arrested was handed over to police after registering a case with Bimandandar Police Station.
