Zillur Rahman, Officer-in-charge of Katakhali Police station under RMP has been withdrawn and closed to police line for wearing erroneous dress during the celebration of the birth centenary functions and the National Children's Day. In accordance with the direction from the Police Headquarters, RMP Commissioner Abu Kalam Siddique withdrew Officer-in-charge of Katakhali police station Zillur Rahman on Wednesday night. Golam Ruhul Quddus, Spokesperson of RMP informed, ' there was a problem with the dress of Officer-in-charge of Katakhali that is why he has been withdrawn from the police station and closed to the Police Line of RMP. He left the police station and went to the police line on Wednesday night. RMP Sources said, on Wednesday morning Zillur Rahman, Officer-in-charge of Katakhali police station went to pay respect at the portrait of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at Paba Upazila Parishad.
He was wearing a tunic with white shirt and a tie and wore a field-cap violating the dress code of the police.
He also uploaded his pictures on Facebook wearing the dresses.
The incident drew the attention of the Police Headquarters and an order was issued to withdraw him.
Now, Inspector of Police (Investigation) Matiar Rahman is now in charge of Katakhali Police station. He said, there was a problem with the dress of Zillur Rahman sir, that is why he has been closed.
