Dhallywood popular model turned actress is Nusrat Faria Mazhar has done several Indian Bangla movies besides Dhallywood cinema and she is also very good at singing. Most of the films she has done was basically commercial genre, but now the actress has changed a lot in her work and has already been involved in a number of story-based artistic films.
Recently popular director Giasuddin Selim has roped her for his upcoming feature film titled 'Gunnin'. On Saturday Aug 28 the director, producer of the film has confirmed the matter saying that the actress has signed the contract and the shooting will start from October.
The film 'Gunnin' is adapted from a short story written by renowned writer Hasan Azizul Haque. Reportedly, the feature film will be made for an OTT platform. Director Giasuddin Selim himself is writing the script and dialogues of the movie besides directing.
However, if the situation gets normal, the production company is thinking of releasing the movie first.
Regarding the context Nusrat Faria said, ‘I am really overwhelmed because director Giasuddin Selim is one of my favorite producer of all time. After watching his film ‘Monpura’, since then the desire to work with that director was always there. For me his movie means a different story, discovering things in a new way. Finally with the film ‘Gunnin’ that journey has begun. Now I am his “Rabeya”.’
‘The story of the film is completely different, because this is not the story of the time. The events of about 50 years will be shown in the film. My character as Rabeya is basically of a woman in Muslim conservative society. The character will be remembered by people for many days. This is a completely opposite pole movie from the way viewers have seen me so far. As a result, I have to prepare in that way,' the actress added.
Apart from Nusrat Faria actors Iresh Zaker, Mostofa Monwar, Azad Abul Kalam, Nayla Azad Nupur, Dilara Zaman, artiste Sarkar Apu and 'Networker Baire' famed actor Shariful Raj and many others will also act in the movie.
