Professor Dr. Md. Nurul Islam of Jahangirnagar University has been appointed the new pro-vice-chancellor of National University (NU), as announced by President Mohammed Shahabuddin. Dr. Islam, a distinguished academic with a background in Geography, holds both undergraduate and master’s degrees from Jahangirnagar University, along with a PhD from the University of Nottingham.
His career in academia includes his current role as the general secretary of the Nationalist Teachers’ Forum at Jahangirnagar University, where he has shown strong leadership and a commitment to advancing educational standards.
