A 'Skill Development Conference and Job Fair,' aimed at enhancing the skills and corporate connections of students from the National University, took place at the International Mother Language Institute in Dhaka on Saturday. The event, titled 'NUSDF Skill Development Summit,' was organized by the National University Skill Development Forum (NUSDF) and provided an opportunity for students to explore career prospects and develop valuable professional skills.

National University Vice-Chancellor ASM Amanullah attended the fair as the chief guest. He emphasized the importance of skill acquisition alongside traditional academic learning, noting that skill development initiatives are crucial for students. He also shared that the National University is committed to supporting skill-building programs across colleges in all 64 districts of Bangladesh to ensure students are well-prepared for future job markets.

The day-long fair attracted principals, teachers, and students from various National University-affiliated colleges. It featured several seminars and panel discussions focusing on skill development, career guidance, and industry demands. Participants had the opportunity to engage in interactive sessions, gaining insights into essential skills that employers are looking for in today's competitive job market.

Representatives from 50 well-known organizations across Bangladesh were present at the job fair to connect with potential candidates. These organizations aimed to recruit skilled and capable individuals for various positions, providing students with direct access to job opportunities and enabling them to network with industry professionals.

This initiative by the National University Skill Development Forum is seen as a step forward in bridging the gap between academic learning and professional readiness. It aims to foster a generation of graduates equipped with the skills needed to thrive in the workforce, benefitting both the students and the organizations that hire them.
