In a bid to support the flood-affected communities in northern region of the country, the NSU Computer Engineering Club (NSUCEC) of North South University has organized a three-day gaming competition.

The funds raised through participant registrations will be directed toward relief efforts for flood victims.

The tournament is sponsored by GIGABYTE, a leading global manufacturer of motherboards, graphics cards, and hardware solutions.

Moinul Haque Nazim, President of NSUCEC and a student of the Computer Engineering and Science department, said, “Since the beginning of the flood crisis, we have been trying to stand by those affected. This time, the northern region has received limited aid, so our funding will focus on that area. We hope this small initiative will provide significant help to those in need.”

Naimur Rahman, a senior member of the club, said, “This competition spans three days and involves participants from all across North South University. We believe that through this initiative, we can contribute to the recovery of flood-affected people, even if in a small way. Thanks to GIGABYTE, this large-scale event has been possible, making it the biggest FIFA gaming competition held so far."

Khaja Md Anas Khan, Country Manager of GIGABYTE Bangladesh, said, “We are proud to be part of such an impactful initiative. Gaming isn’t just fun – it can be a platform to contribute to society.”

The event is organized and managed by club president Moinul Haque Nazim, vice president Galib Ahsan, general secretary Muhibul Hasan, joint secretary Ishraka Zahir, and treasurer Md Abdullah Almun, along with other members Arafatul Hasan Saday, Nasib Talukder, Farhan Tanvir Pratyay, and Md Mehenuf Hossain. Winners of the tournament will receive prize money sponsored by the university authorities.
