The orientation program of the 12th batch of the Bangladesh Japan IT Engineer Training Program (B-JET), in collaboration with North South University, was held on 3rd April 2023.
The program took place online via the Zoom platform and psychically at the syndicate hall at NSU premises. The B-JET training program was first initiated through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed by the Bangladesh Computer Council (BCC), North South University (NSU), and The University of Miyazaki (UoM) on 24th February 2021. It aims to support the capacity development of Bangladeshi ICT engineers and future ICT engineers who have the potential to create business networks between Japan and Bangladesh.
Professor Mohammad Khasro Miah, Ph.D., Director, CPC, delivered the inaugural remarks. He talked about the program's theme, the strength of Japan's IT industry, and the job opportunities they offer.
Professor Keisuke Murakami, Vice-President (International Relations) of The University of Miyazaki, concluded the session by delivering a closing speech.
At the inaugural session, Yuki Morishita, Head of B-JET in Japan joined the inaugural session virtually from Japan and introduced all the Japanese industry representatives. In addition, Ms. Sayuri Ogino, Representative Director of B&M.
, and Mr. FumikatsuHonma, Managing Director of ShinkoshuppanshaKeirinkan Co., Ltd, were also present at the program as guest speakers and delivered insightful speeches. Furthermore, they acknowledged all the stakeholders associated with the program.
