NSU celebrates topmost ranking success

North South University has risen on top of the rank among private universities and celebrated the achievement at the university premise in the capital’s Bashundhara residential area.

NSU became the top ranked private university in a recent joint survey.

The daylong celebration featured a rally, human flag formation, discussion session, cultural events and band show. NSU students and alumnus actively participated in the events.

Minister of Information, Dr Hasan Mahmud, MP was present as the chief guest. Chairman of Partex Group, Former MP and Chairman of Board of Trustees, NSU, M A Hashem was present as special guest. Among others, BOT Members, NSU faculties and senior officials were present at the event. NSU Vice-Chancellor (VC) Professor Dr Atiqul Islam chaired the event.

In the discussion session, Dr Hasan Mahmud, MP delivered an inspiring speech addressing the students. He said, “As a former faculty of NSU, “I am happy to see North South University topped among all private universities in the country”.

He congratulated the authority of NSU for this big achievement. He said that all the people of the world dream, but not everyone’s dreams are fulfilled, those who make efforts with dreams only fulfill their dream. We need a generation who will not only dream of them but also for the country.”

Chairman of Board of Trustees, NSU, M A Hashem said, “Today, I am very delighted to see NSU in the top position among all private universities in Bangladesh. NSU has been able to achieve this success today because it offers International standard amenities and provides international standard education to students through international standard maintained faculty members. During this time, he said that 100 percent students of NSU are being employed in different reputed institutions of the country and abroad. They are proving their eligibility by making special contribution to the development of the country.

Professor Dr Atiqul Islam, said, “It is very prestigious for us to obtain the top place among the private universities of Bangladesh. NSU has set an example in the private education sector by providing students with world class higher education and research facilities. The university, as a thought leader, has continued to promote intellectual growth, equality, diversity and entrepreneurship through building the leadership skills of the country’s youth and advocating for international standards in higher education.”

In the discussion session of top ranking success celebration programme,  novelist Imdadul Haq Milan and President of The National Press Club Saiful Alam were present as the guest speakers.

Members of Board of Trustees, NSU, VC, Pro VC (designate), higher officials, guardians and students of NSU were also present on the programme.

A cultural programme was arranged and The Band Team “Nagarbaul James” performed during the programme.
