The Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) and North South University (NSU) signed a memorandum of agreement on the BUET campus in Dhaka on Sunday to formalize their collaborative academic relationship.
The memorandum of understanding aims to expand cooperative research projects, academic alliances, publications, and other common endeavors between the two universities, read a PR.
Professor Atiqul Islam, NSU vice-chancellor, Katherine Li, director of NSU’s Office of External Affairs, professor Satya Prasad Majumder, vice-chancellor of the BUET, deans and department chairs were present at the signing ceremony.
The MoU aims to share a focus on the research and development of artificial intelligence. The two universities will synergize their efforts to explore the burgeoning potential of AI technology. As part of the agreement, BUET’s Research and Innovation Centre for Science and Engineering will work closely with NSU to facilitate AI-focused projects.
