National Skill Development Authorirty (NSDA) organised a project processing workshop on GO-NGO joint venture skill development training ' on Wednesday at NSDA auditorium in the capital.
Satyajit Karmakar, secretary of the Planning Department of the Ministry of Planning was present as the Chief Guest in the workshop.
He said that NSDA has been established and its activities are being conducted under the special interest and direction of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
Demographic dividend should be used to build future Bangladesh and for this, skilled manpower should be developed through time-worthy training, he added.
He mentioned taking more pragmatic steps in undertaking projects. Director General of NGO Affairs Bureau Sheikh Md. Moniruzzaman was present as special guest. He said that job opportunities are increasing day by day in cities and villages in Bangladesh, as well as the demand for skilled manpower. He also emphasized on the demand-based training of the global market.
Executive Chairman (Secretary) of NSDA Nasreen Afroz said “We are working to establish the skills ecosystem with the aim of creating world-class trained workers’. She hoped to transform the youth into manpower through an integrated training system.
NSDA member (Joint Secretary) Mr. Alif Rudaba delivered her welcome speech.
Government officials of various ministries, representatives of NGOs, representatives of Industry Skills Council and officials of NSDA participated in the
workshop.
