Nowrin Sadek, daughter of former Education Minister ASHK Sadek and former state minsiter for Public Administration Ismat Ara Sadek, is likely to get nomination from the ruling Awami League for by-polls in Jashore-6 constituency. She began visiting the electoral area with the hope. She visited the area on Saturday. At the time, she exchanged views with local journalists at Keshbpur Upazila Awami League office.
At the view exchange meeting with Keshabpur Upazila Press Club reporters, Nowrin Sadek sought support from journalists to fulfill her father’s dream and mother’s unfinished work. Upazila Awami League unit‘s Office Secretary Mofizur Rahman Mofiz conducted the meeting.
Among others Ismat Ara’s son, Tanvir Sadek, her cousin Noman Sadek, Jashore Zilla Parishad member Alhaj Hassan Sadek, Upazila Parishad Vice Chairman Nasima Sadek, Keshabpur Upazila Press Club President SR Saeed, Vice President Krishnapad Das and other journalists were present at the time.
Nowrin Sadek’s mother and MP from Jashore-6 constituency died on Januray 21. The seat has been vacant since her death. The Election Comission will announce by-polls for the seat within some days.
